The body of this stoneware stein is decorated with a wrap-around dual circular map of the Eastern Hemisphere and the Western Hemisphere. Around the maps are astronomical designs of the era. The side motifs depict harvest scenes and scenes of merchant ships being prepared for their voyage. The domed pewter lid depicts a raised-relief globe motif.
